Ruth L Tomalski Zaccaria, MS, OTR/L, SIPT certified, 200hr RYT

Ruth L Tomalski Zaccaria, MS, OTR/L, SIPT is a pediatric occupational therapist with 20 years of experience. Mother of two, avid runner and cyclist, and love for the outdoors keeps her busy during her free time. Ruth began her OT career in 2004 at the Parkside School on Manhattan's Upper West Side.  At Parkside, she served as the Director of the Occupational Therapy Department, responsible for developing goals and treatment plans for Individualize Education Plans (IEP). Her sessions took place in both classroom and sensory gym settings.  After her time at Parkside, Ruth moved to the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) where she continued to develop her skills in their pediatric OT department. While at HSS Ruth worked in a multi-diciplinary environment treating children with a variety of diagnoses including; orthopedic, neurological, rheumatic and congenital disorders.  In 2011, Ruth left HSS to pursue her dream of developing her own practice, one that incorporates  her academic and medical backgrounds, to provide a unique environment for children to develop. In 2019, Ruth completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training at CT Power Yoga in Stamford. Yoga has always been an important part of Ruth’s life and is excited to share her knowledge and practice with her pediatric clients. Ruth also provides 1:1 lessons for kids learning to ride a bike, based on her extensive work in OT and sensory development.  

Ruth works closely with Gold Coast ABA Center in Darien, CT consulting with staff and working individually with students, as well as providing enrichment groups at Greens Farm Academy Preschool in Westport, CT.

In addition to running Live Learn Play CT, Ruth has taken her love and interest for nutrition to created a holistic children’s enrichment program combining cooking, yoga and art. KidZKitchen.co.
